No improvement in sensitivity over my 2010 R106 …….and light years away from the stunning pictures from my ( Canon ) G16 compact camera. I primarily use a camcorder for live gigs because a compact will not handle the very high sound levels. The battery is on the back and prevents you using your fingers or thumb from pressing the record button…..duh ? No automatic lens cover either so you may well forget to close after use. I’ve got a gig tomorrow ( 30/12/2017 ) to put it through it’s paces. If it doesn’t perform well……I’ll be looking to return and get another up-market compact.

I wanted a cheap, good quality camera for vlogging, and that’s what I got. Loses a point only for the lack of external mic socket. But the built-in mic picks up sound well in a vlogging scenario. Words well in low-light conditions, too.
