Awesome sharp lens, edge to edge brilliance on par with canon – no doubt about it – slightly heavier but half the price of canon and a real bargain option at 24mm

This is my first sigma lens and it has not disappointed.I bought it primary for shooting landscapes and perhaps astrophotography (if I ever get a clear night!). I use it with a Canon 5D mkiii and you can see some of the results attached. I’ve also used it with my 700D and works great as a wider portrait lens on a cropped body.PROS- Sharp as anything- Visually very pleasing and feels well built- Haven’t used it much but I do like the carry case that it comes with.CONS- A bit heavy but when using a tripod this isn’t really an issue.- No weather sealing :(I’ve also used the 35mm Art which is also a great lens and will definitely consider buying more sigma lenses in the future as they are amazing value for money.

Been a couple of months now and although I’ve not had much chance to use this lens for what I intended – Astro and landscapes it’s been great for a few nightshoots and museum visits.I’ve given it 5 stars for VFM as I was looking at the Canon options originally which came in a lot higher priced. This lens has delivered so far and I’m really looking forward to a some clear nights to test out the performance there. I think wherever I visit this lens will be in my bag from now on.
