I had spent time researching this TV and ordered simply because it implied it had a Free sat decoder, only after I received the TV and read a recent answer to a purchasers question from Hisense does it transpire that although they used to provide a Free sat decoder they no longer do so. Other answers state it HAD a free sat decoder I therefore feel I have been misled in my purchase.

Its difficult to know how to exactly rate this TV using the stars mainly because I’m not sure if I received a faulty product or I just didn’t think it was good, especially looking at some other reviews which say its a great TV.Before I say anything else its important to know that I have returned the TV and been refunded.Out of the box the TV looked great, I didn’t want a 4K TV, I’m not keen on that much definition so a full HD is perfect for me. The first thing I realised was how flimsy the 2 stands are, both are thin plastic and are positioned at angles. I instantly realised that the way the stands sit – pointing outwards made the actual TV too big for my TV stand – yet I had a much larger TV on it before. My larger 50″ TV had just one large stand in the middle of the screen which allowed it to fit fine. This smaller screen has 2 individual stands at either end and because of the way they are angled only just balanced on the edge of the TV table. I had problems locating the screws to fix in place the stands but with a bit of fiddling I managed it.Set up was easy, within minutes everything was working. The picture wasn’t great , the colours seemed washed out but thought its ok I’ll sort in settings. The sounds was appalling! So tinny, even with the volume full blast some programmes were still hard to understand. I played with the sound settings, put it on theatre but nothing really made a difference. I researched sound issues and found that a lot of smart TV’s have their speakers underneath, to allow them to be slim line, this actually causes a problem, the sound then bounces off the TV stand/table and affects how its heard. After reading this I thought fine I’ll mount the TV on the wall, that way the sound will have chance to flow freely. No improvement at all, I was so disappointed, felt there must be something I can do apart from buying a soundbar. It was such a lot of hassle buying a TV wall bracket and putting it up, after a lot of playing with the settings, looking things up on the internet I realised the sound I had was just the way the TV was made. Terrible. After a couple days the TV started turning itself off. I contacted Amazon who said return for a refund.I am very pleased to return this TV, since then I have bought another smart TV, the same size and the sound is perfect. So for me overall this TV isn’t worth buying but just maybe the sound issue was also a fault?
