In this article, we will review the very famous gaming monitor Pixio PX277. This monitor is famous for its strong performance and adjustable frame rates. But before we make any kind of verdict, let’s dig deep and analyze Pixio PX277’s features, performance, and quality.
What Is PX277 and What Does It Offer?
Pixio PX277 is a 27-inch gaming monitor. In 2017, this monitor succeeded the 2016 version. There is also Pixio PX277 Prime, the latest monitor in this series. It comes with a QHD resolution with Adaptive Sync. Its gaming performance and quality are far better than many expensive monitors. This monitor provides lots of fun gaming features. Moreover, its slim and sleek design makes it popular among many gamers.
In the fast-paced gaming industry, there are many 1440p 144Hz gaming monitors available today. However, PX277 stands out as an exceptional monitor with perfect gaming qualities. Besides, the PX277 gaming monitor is one of the most affordable monitors, worth every penny.

Above is a summary of some of the most important features of PX277. It is a 27-inch gaming monitor with an IPS panel. Moreover, as the data suggests, this monitor has an impressive resolution and adaptive sync. Other than the above common features, this monitor has an ‘LOS’ crosshair overlay. This overlay is completely customizable. This monitor also has a Game Timer.
Unlike many famous and expensive gaming monitors, PX277 has RTS and FPS presets. These presets have optimal and unique settings to give you a good picture experience. Pixio PX277 also has all the standard and advanced color settings.
This monitor also has an advanced OverDrive setting. This setting comes extremely handy to reduce the response time from 12ms to 6ms, which is a must for gaming. You can enable OverDrive and FreeSync together to enjoy fast response time on every game.
Quality of Image
This 2560×1440 resolution gaming monitor ensures a detailed picture quality. This is only possible because of a rich and deep pixel density. The pixel density of PX277 is 108.79 pixels for every inch.
Besides, as mentioned above, Pixio PX277 has an IPS panel. This panel provides 178-degree angles, 230-nit maximum brightness, and a 6ms speed of response time.
Irrespective of your position as a gamer, you will love PX277’s consistent and vibrant colors. All the images are crystal clear so you enjoy a flawless gaming experience.
Performance

As mentioned above, PX277 has a 6ms response time. However, this is slightly below the average 4 ms response time for monitors of this type.
When it comes to screen performance, PX277 has a flicker-free screen. With a very light blue filter, you can look at this screen for as long as you want without eye stress or headaches.
Design and Build
Unlike its 2016 version, Pixio PX277 has a slim and sleek design. It comes with super-thin bezels. These bezels enable a wonderful cinematic experience.
PX277 has a matte plastic body with a matte coating. This coating prevents all sorts of unnecessary reflections. However, PX277 has a tilt-only screen. But with the help of a VESA mount pattern, you can fix that too.
AMD FreeSync
AMD FreeSync is one of the most wonderful and helpful features found in PX277. The 2016 PX277 had a wide range of 55Hz to 144Hz. However, that’s much lesser than the 2017 Pixio PX277’s 30Hz to 144Hz. The high dynamic range gives this monitor an added advantage over many regular and standard monitors.
Connectivity
PX277 has DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0 (HDMI-1), HDMI 1.4, and DL-DVI as connector ports. Moreover, there is also a headphones jack for the speakers. You also get an audio-line for better integration of speakers.
Pricing
The Pixio PX277 is one of the most affordable and cheap 1440p monitors available in the market today. It is completely a value-for-money investment. However, we can’t deny that the PX277 faces a huge amount of competition today. There are a few gaming monitors with similar pricing yet better response times and features.

Great monitor. Currently using this with an xbox one x @1440p 120hz. Smooth as butter. There is a little ips glow at the edges but it is only noticeable when the screen is totally black. Great bang for the buck. Both hdmi ports can produce 144hz… Which is pretty rare. The colours are fantastic, reds pop like I’ve never seen.
